This might be an excellent toy for a child with Aspergers syndrome. There are a very limited number of things you can do with it, mostly spinning gears that can make some limited geometric contructions built on special pieces spin. My six year old daughter did not like it paticularly, and played with it for less than an hour. She definitely likes the regularly Magnext.
The battery powered motor unit (the puck looking item) is weak. However, the pieces do work with regular Magnext, and a clever child can do some interesting things, i.e. a set of propellers, etc. using this set. Definitely NOT worth full price, but the pieces are worth about $10 or so for an advanced builder. If they would have made more interesting pieces, the set could have been a blast.Get more detail about Magnext Dynamix Advanced Gears and Elektronix.
