This Space Police Enforcer is overall a great lego. However, like most of the larger lego toys, once you complete assembly, they do not "hold together" very tightly and often fall apart when you try to move them.
Overall, it is a great toy. My son saved his Christmas money to buy this and has really enjoyed playing with it in smaller ships. The large ship will not hold together long enough for him to allow it to fly. Price wise, I would hope for the money spent on the toy, lego would make them stay snapped together better. Maybe if the price of it was about $30 less it would ease the pain of it falling apart.

Low Price LEGO Space Police Squidman's Escape (5969)

Bought this about a week ago, it's a pretty nice Space Police set remaniscent of the older ones from the '80s and '90s (which some of the new Space Police sets are).

The small hovercycle is an easy build with few, easy to place stickers. It has a couple features that are below-basic, but has a lot of potential for imaginative play.

The police officer is nice looking with silver painted glasses (if he looks familiar, it's because he uses the same head from a minifig in the Agents theme) and even has a two-sided head showing either a confident or frightened face. The wanted criminal, Squidman is also nice looking (for a bug-eyed alien). He even has a nice red cape. The only other accessory is a one-hundred dollar bill.

Star Wars Anakin's Jedi Starfighter was one of two that my grandson wanted for his 7th birthday. I was able to find this one so I purchased it and sent it off to them in Illinois. Today,February 26,2010 is his big day and when I called my daughter and her husband and the kids early this A.M. he was too busy playing with it to come to the phone. LEGO Atlantis Neptune Carrier (8075) Review

Admit I had my doubts when my 7 year old wanted this set recently. He thought it looked cool from the box but I wondered what it had to offer beyond the new Atlantis underwater theme. Turns out that the set is a hit on several levels...he loves it (no surprise there) but it's also nicely designed and offers more than a new theme.

As with most sets, there are a few small ships and vehicles to build first, which is nice. The main Neptune ship is the real draw. It has some terrific features...there are cool new pieces and the finished ship is also designed to allow bay doors to open and push back in a creative way that transforms the shape of the vehicle. Very cool and not something you see with every set.

I guess the best testament I can share is that my son usually takes apart a set within a week after building it and just uses the pieces for his own creations. This one has already lasted two weeks, with no sign that it's coming apart any time soon! Couple of other notes: my son has been putting together Lego sets himself for several years and didn't have any trouble with this one. First off, if nothing else, this set is worth it for the minifigs alone. You get an awesome golden knight and a queen, both unique to this set, as well as a standard crown knight and the rare jester minifig. On the evil side of things, you get an awesome grim reaper-esque skeleton with skeleton horse, a black skeleton, and another white skeleton. Seven minifigs is a lot for a set in this price range!

Accessories are cool too! Lots of weapons, including a flail, scythe, golden sword, crossbows, and even axes and glaives used in the tower's decor can come down if needed for a fight scene. The golden knight's armor and helmet are awesome, the shields are neat, and the queen's crown is adorable.

Secondly, the tower itself is impressive. The drawbridge mechanism works well, and the flick-fire ballista is neat too. My only complaint is that there isn't a whole lot of display (or play) room in the tower itself. To remedy this, I bought a seven dollar green baseboard with this set. The entire set fit on it perfectly. I would highly recommend purchasing the baseboard, which is a little extra cost but results in a much more satisfying play or display experience.

I bought this set on a whim, thinking of the Lego castle set I always wanted as a kid. I had fun building it; it's nothing too complex, but interesting anyway. The drawbridge mechanism is a stroke of genius. Also, when I took it home from college, my much younger siblings had a blast playing with it!

In conclusion, you can't beat the minifigs in this set for play or display purposes, and the tower is nice as well. I would recommend this set to any Lego Castle fan! It's a lot of fun, and adding a baseboard makes it even more so!Get more detail about LEGO Castle Drawbridge Defense (7079).

This is a five star train for kids in the 5 to 8 year old range. Older kids may be more interested in the forthcoming Harry Potter Hogwart's Express train (4841) or the City line trains (7938 and 7939). The City trains, incidentally, are the only ones that come as complete sets with track, motors and remote control devices.

This is an Old West 4-4-0 steam engine, box car, passenger car, and caboose. I would describe the design as more cartoon-like than realistic, with the engine having exaggerated proportions and the cars a tad short. The set includes no track or motor. It is designed as a push train. The engine uses four new drivers (and comes with two extra un-flanged drivers) as well as a cattle-catcher (a new part). The train cars themselves are small but attractively designed. As with the other new trains for 2010, this appears to be largely brick-built (i.e., few specialized plastic moldings). The set includes Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bullseye, Rex, and Evil Doctor Pork Chops mini-figures. The passenger car and the caboose are designed with lift-off tops to make it easier to place characters inside, and the box car has a trap door in the roof. The train is not a difficult build, but younger children will likely need some assistance.

Regarding adding a motor, it is possible to use Lego's Power Function (PF) accessories to add one, but Lego has not provided directions for doing so. I have not done this yet, but one way is to build a tender that carries a battery, motor and remote receiver. It might be a little awkward given the proportions of the train, but it is doable. These parts are available directly from Lego. I will revise this review when I see someone do a good job of motorization.

Though train buffs will likely be put-off by the design, this set is going to be very, very popular among children. Grandparents, I think this makes a perfect birthday or holiday gift. I do recommend buying track; you need at least two sets of Lego 7896, though consider getting three sets of 7896 and one set of switches (7895). After this one was assembled, we all about laughed ourselves silly! It's super cute, loved a ton in this house, is very durable too. This guy's already stood up to hours of playtime with minimal falling apart. The atm machine likes to fall off the hook but all the better for the Space Policeman to grab it back.
