We bought this for our 7 1/2 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. Like all Lego, it really inspires imaginative play (which is fun to listen to from the next room!) My husband enjoyed helping her put it together for the first time (I think he had just as much fun as she did!) Very detailed, right down to the treasure and the crows nest / mast net.
