Thomas is made up of four pre-fab pieces that press together easily. My son learned how to do it in a few tries. He couldn't figure out how to build the flowers and trees on the hill though..
This set really has nothing to do with a mine; it is just a plastic molded tunnel.
Thomas comes apart very easily, so that may frustrate some kids. My son just happily puts him back together again.Get more detail about LEGO Duplo Thomas at Morgan's Mine (5546).
