I bought this for my sons (ages 7 and 5) during Amazon's "Lightning Deals". The directions are easy to follow and my 7 year old did okay except for the fact that some of the pieces don't snap together very easily. Even more frustrating, other pieces don't stay together well enough and fall off when barely touched. I ended up super-gluing some of the most irritating culprits. We were able to get the ships put together and they look nice when done. If you buy this, do not expect it to be of the same quality as Legos, but slightly inferior.
